Welcome to the File Shelf project dossier. This is where I document the complete journey of building File Shelf - from initial concept through implementation challenges to final release.

Follow along as I share technical decisions, architectural patterns, and practical insights gained while developing this file manager with labels, tags and collections.

This project is currently in concept phase. Explore the articles below to see the evolution and lessons learned.

File Shelf

A file management system that organizes digital assets using logical labels, tags, and structured collections instead of traditional folder hierarchies. File Shelf allows users to apply multiple tags and labels to files, creating flexible organizational systems.

The system supports complex tagging with nested categories and dynamic filtering across all stored content. Users can create smart collections based on tags, file types, dates, and custom criteria.

File Shelf manages photos and media with manual tagging and collection organization. It provides powerful search capabilities and seamless integration with existing file systems and cloud storage providers.
